Event Summary: Hot, humid, wet, luxuriant and diverse! Journey through the layers of the rain forest and learn about the plants and animals that call the rain forest home. Explore the emergent layer, canopy, understory, and forest floor for the unique species found there - capybaras, quetzals, sloths, okapis, toucans, and more. Learn about the importance of the rain forests to our environment, the threats to rain forests, and what you can do to help protect rain forests.

Location: Unless specified otherwise, the event will be held at the Wild Manta facility
at 4220 US Hwy 1, Palm Bay, Fl 32905

Age Range: 6 yrs to 13 yrs

Min-Max Attendees: 5 (minimum) to 9 (maximum) attendees

Profile: Teacher for Argonauta Academy. Casie has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Florida Institute of Technology and currently works with the marine mammal stranding programs at Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute and Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation. She also is a Florida Coastal Master Naturalist. She has lots of experience teaching kids both as a competitive gymnastics coach at private gyms and camps for over 25 years and homeschooling her daughter for 10 years. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has passed a Level 2 Background Check and fingerprinting through the Brevard County School System.
